木屐囒換蕃所/二手交換市集🐟淵源介紹 魚池鄉的東光村舊稱木屐囒(bakalan),其名稱的來源有-此地原為邵族木葛囒社社址;頭人名叫木屐囒,後來的人就以「木屐囒那邊」稱之;這裡的原住民平時都穿木屐走路。東光村東鄰仁愛鄉,南接信義鄉,位於邵族、布農族交界之處,也是進入埔里的門戶。1858年(咸豐八年)開墾之初,即有不少客家腦丁聚集。原住民以山產與漢人在此交換鹽、鐵器等日常生活品,漸漸形成繁榮的小聚落,日人成立鄉內唯一的官方「交換所」。鳥居龍蔵在「探險台灣」一書中則描寫出木屐囒換蕃所交易的景況。 ∣ 在原住民社會中,「分享」及「以物易物」扮演著重要角色,「分享」的性質相當於人類學者所謂的「禮物交換」,魚池戲劇節願延續此美好的精神,賦予「換蕃所」新的時代意義,搭配現有資源回收站的系統,推動二手交換市集,鼓勵民眾積極做環保,愛物惜物,讓地球資源永續利用,並找回人與人之間,最初且超越金錢衡量的互動關係。 ∣ Bakalan Barter Trade Centre / Second-hand Stuff Exchanging Market. Donguang village which is called “Bakalan” by the ancient people locates in Yuchi county. The name traces back from many allusions: This is the original tribe of Thao, which named “Bakalan” ; The chief was named “Bakalan”, therefore the descendant always called it “over the Bakalan” etc. ∣ Donguang village located within Thao and Bunu tribe and it is also the entry of Puli. The indigenous people exchanged some daily necessities such as salt and ironware, and a prosperous settlement was formed gradually. Therefore, the Japanese government established the only one “Barter Trade Centre” in this county. ∣ “Sharing” and “bartering” plays an important role in the society of indigenous people. Yuchi Drama Festival continues this wonderful essence, giving “Barter Trade Centre” a different meaning in this new generation, combining with the recycling system, promoting the second-hand stuff exchanging market, encouraging people to pay more attention to the environmental protection, and treasure the stuff we are using, let the resource on the earth be used in a permanent way. What’s more, we can find a way back to the initial pure relationship which exceeds the measure of the monetary system.
